Arrived Safely!

Just a quick note to let you know I arrived safely in Hyderabad.

Currently am sitting in my host's office, so no time for a long post... but I am here (if my luggage is not) and am having a marvelous time. ^__^

welcome to india... what a day to arrive... just when India is celebrating the 60th Independence Day... (and no.. the movie came later and has nothing to do with this day...)

so you are baggageless? now didn't we say not to pack so much of goodies??

now you get exposed to the harsh life from day 1... (suits you, my Calvin-mind said one sec, but i would tone it down a bit, if not completely... )

good luck,, and good night!! (that's a helluva movie btw)

Hey, hope your first couple days have been great - and happy Independence Day! (It's still Wednesday here.)

Don't know if you will be as amused by this as I was, and don't know if the link will post correctly, but wanted to share this article. I love this as a culturally unique way to measure patriotism...

Susan -- was very amused. ^__^ Long time between internets so I wasn't able to respond right away.

Of more interest would be the study to see how many non-Indians would want to be reborn as Indians. After all, in 10-20 years they will be at the top of the world stage, while the good ol' US of A....
